The Problem:
Haiti is encountering a staggering level of political & social chaos, making the work of INGOs increasingly difficult.
Our Response:
As members of Accord and CCIH, we could benefit in comparing notes and seeking collaborative responses to the increasing challenge of working in Haiti. The group would be ad-hoc in nature with a goal to meet at least once, with a possibility of future meetings if needed. The goal is for meeting(s) to produce a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.
We will host Accord/CCIH members who are operational and/or funding activities in Haiti. We will create a space to discuss challenges and to gather insights, share resources, including the possibility of wind-down of operations.
