What is the opportunity?

The Administrative and Logistics Coordinator will provide support to the Events and Engagement Team in three key areas: Partner and Community Walk for Water events, the annual Strategic Partner Event, and annual partner and volunteer events. He/she will provide excellent customer service to corporate partners, churches, volunteers, and other partners by ensuring the administrative aspects of the Walk for Water program and other events are done in a timely manner in keeping with Water Mission’s values of love, excellence, and integrity. In addition, the Administrative and Logistics Coordinator will have strong communication and organization skills that maintain professionalism and meet goals. This position reports to the Director of Events and Engagement and will be based in Charleston, South Carolina. A successful Administrative and Logistics Coordinator will:

Represent Water Mission

  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, partners, charitable beneficiaries, and general public
  • Represent Water Mission at events as assigned


Serve and Care for Partners

  • Work with the Events and Engagement Team to provide logistical support to Walk for Water events and team building requests ensuring partners and volunteers receive excellent customer service and a best-in-class experience
  • Assist Partner and Community Walks in designing and updating Team Raiser pages, ship/mail Walk supplies in a timely manner (including Demo Units), and maintain records and updates to Raiser’s Edge
  • Assist with events that are held at Water Mission headquarters including pre-event communication, day-of logistics, and after-event activities. Support includes but not limited to develop invitation lists, ensure database information is correct, maintain the RSVP lists, provide on-going communication with attendees, assist with day-of logistics, and provide after-event communication (i.e. experience surveys, debrief meetings, etc.)


Provide Best-in-Class Support

  • Maintain working knowledge of Water Mission projects, activities, and operations, as well as local, regional, and national news-worthy issues in order to effectively support the Events and Engagement team
  • Work collaboratively with other Water Mission departments such as Marketing and Communications, International Programs, Information Technology, Investor Partnerships, Accounting, and Executive Leadership to ensure deadlines are met
  • Assist with developing and maintaining a network/database of vendors to be used for catering, audio/visual, and other logistical support
  • Work with the Events and Engagement Team to maintain and track budgets
  • Provide administrative support to ensure Charleston-based events comply with insurance, legal, safety, and health obligations
  • Provide administrative support to ensure partner information is captured and recorded in Raiser’s Edge
  • Support the Events and Engagement Team with additional projects as assigned


What is required?


  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

  • Alignment with Water Mission’s core values and principles of Biblical Stewardship
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in event coordination, logistics or project management; or similar field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail with proven organization skills
  • Experience working with Raiser’s Edge, Team Raiser and Luminate a plus
  • Thrives under pressure and has proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in a highly fluid environment and ability to respond to changing requests
  • Ability to work independently and collaborative with diverse groups of people
  • Willingness to work weekends and outside regular work hours (seasonally)
  • Commitment to the values and mission of the organization and ending the global water crisis
