Application Developer

Location: Remote within US (only the following states: TX, CO, CA, OR, WA, AR, MO, TN, GA, FL, MI, VA, IL & SC).

JOB PURPOSE

The Application Developer is an integral part of the Strategy & Innovation team tasked with helping bring a business application plan to life through declarative and code-based development while integrating that data into existing data structures. This role will design and develop scalable mobile and web applications that integrate with our Salesforce platform, shortening the steps between donors and the stakeholders they support. This developer will support the innovation cycle by taking design prototypes to scale through digital applications and back-end integration.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Build, scale, and maintain business applications developed for Android, iOS and Web. – Codes, tests, debugs, and documents applications using appropriate tools. – Translate business requirements into features and functions within cross-platform applications. – Integrate applications with Salesforce through REST APIs and ETL tools, coordinating work with vendors as needed. – Utilize FlutterFlow, WordPress, Google Cloud, and/or AWS to create applications used globally. – Support Salesforce development within the APEX and JavaScript languages. – Maintain data privacy and security best practices within the built applications. – Create documentation and resources for training on new features/functionality.

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

On the first day we’ll expect you to have: – Minimum of 4-7 years of application development within a cloud-based architecture. – Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a similar field. – Proven experience using HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript and SQL. – A solid understanding of database architecture and integration best practices. – A proven desire to continue personal/professional development. – Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication/documentation skills. – Ability to work effectively with various cross-functional teams.
