World Vision is now hiring a Fundraising Training & Development Leader

As Fundraising Training & Development Leader, you will lead the design, development and deployment of annual fundraising plans on behalf of a geographically diverse fundraising division. Partner with division and department leadership and subject matter experts to understand business priorities and learning gaps. Equip fundraising representatives for fundraising success through the development and facilitation of training resources that address skill and knowledge barriers impacting measurable business outcomes. Responsible for some or all the following: curriculum design and development, facilitation of group classes, and/or development of on-line training resources. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

02 What success looks like

Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.

Annual Training and Development Strategy:
Collaborate with division and department leaders to assess annual business priorities and knowledge and/or skill gaps for multiple fundraising teams within a division.
Based on the needs of the business, proactively design, develop and deploy a comprehensive learning and development strategy that drives the culture forward and positively influences fundraising outcomes.
Lead the development and sequencing of content that supports learning needs in partnership with subject matter experts.
Lead the design, development, and delivery of virtual and in-person training and learning resources.
Ensure the methods used are appropriate for a self-paced, time-constrained team of both office-based and remote fundraisers.
Create annual training reports.

3. Ongoing Skills Training:
Collaborate with division leaders to ensure competency and effective use of fundraising tools (such as prospecting, fundraising program messaging and/or storytelling) to enhance fundraising effectiveness.
Provide training related to each step in the moves management cycle (initial donor visits, discovery, cultivation, leveraging events & vision trips, making the ask, responding to “no”, and effective gift acknowledgement).
Work collaboratively with regional managers to assess and implement skill GAP assessments.
Provide orientation training to equip new fundraisers for success.

4. Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
6. Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

06 You bring
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience (eight years). In addition to education or education equivalent, requires a minimum of 5 years of experience designing, developing and/or delivering training and/or learning resources. A background in sales, fundraising, and/or adult education is preferred.
