Global HR Manager

Ministry Function:

The Global Human Resources Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by managing general human resources functions specific to global offices and team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Creates new and maintains existing Human Resources Information System profiles for global team members.
2. Assists the Global HR Director in maintaining dashboards, directories and reports related to global team members, New Country Launch, and Conformity.
3. Manages and maintains team member files, paperwork, and life cycle notifications.
4. Collaborates with Global HR Director and other cross-functional stakeholders on needed administrative and conformity procedures, systems and documentation and then plans, coordinates and devises ways to create and streamline them.
5. Reviews the payroll portion of each country’s wire request on a monthly basis.
6. Supports global team members by liaising with the Headquarters (HQ) Information Technology department for technical support.
7. Creates, formats, and maintains ministry description templates for global field personnel positions.
8. Manages the email account.
9. Ensures confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned projects.
10. Support HR team by performing various special projects and producing reports as requested.
11. All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. 2+ years HR experience or equivalent experience required, international work experience strongly preferred.
3. Professional ability to keep all information in strict confidence and operate at the highest level on integrity.
4. Fluent in Spanish preferred, but not required.
5. Ability and willingness to travel internationally as needed.
6. Significant cultural understanding and awareness is required to handle sensitive issues and maintain vital relationships.
7. Works with optimism, humor and flexibility, commitment to help and support in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment.
8. Critical thinker who enjoys problem solving and finding solutions.
9. Ability to provide clear and consistent communication.
10. Ability to use a PC/Mac and software programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
11. Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
12. Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
13. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None at this time.
