Program Director

OAA is a non-profit humanitarian and human rights organization. We are looking for a Program Director (PD) to manage activities in a USAID or DRL funded program that takes place in a Spanish speaking Central American country. The PD will supervise a Program Assistant and subcontractors, and will manage day-to-day operations, which include report preparations, monitoring, timetable, & budget compliance. The PD is expected to manage at least two projects. PD participates in grant acquisition, implementation, monitoring, and reporting in support of our response in Central America & The Caribbean. PD reports to the CEO. PD can work from home or office, but we prefer hybrid..

Qualifications & Requirements
-Fully bi-lingual Spanish/English
-Minimum BS degree, master preferred
-Experience in implementation of development programs
-Experience with projects in Central America or the Caribbean.
-Highly organized and the ability to prioritize workload.
-Flexible, with ability to work independently and as a team.
-Very Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Helps if experienced writing proposals
-Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
-Skills in database management and publication a plus.
Type of Programs: LAC Development/humanitarian Programs: PD participates in grant acquisition, implementation, monitoring, and reporting in support of our response in Central America & The Caribbean.

Professional Experience Desired:
· Managing grants from the U.S. Government
· Implementing development or humanitarian programs in Central America or the Caribbean, with preference in Nicaragua
· Knowledgeable about the Americas region
