World Vision is now hiring a Senior Operational Auditor

01 The Job: As Senior Operations Auditor, you will play a prominent role in helping World Vision achieve an integrated, organization-wide approach to risk management and internal control. Conduct and lead moderate to complex operational audits. Provide independent and objective assurance and consulting activities resulting in value-added recommendations, process improvements, stronger internal controls and business objective assessments. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign. Responsibilities include:

-Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
-Plan and execute successful audits by assessing key risk factors and working with management in the creation of control frameworks.
-Draft audit reports by identifying and gathering supporting documentation for audit issues and provide cost/benefit assessments and value-added recommendations.
-Clearly communicate audit issues to management.
-Establish and maintain effective working relationships with WVUS managers and staff as well as the WVI Partnership audit functions.
-Remain current and increase knowledge in related areas utilizing self-study and/or continuing education.
-Participate in ad hoc committees and meetings regarding new initiatives and serve as an advisor regarding appropriate risk mitigation.
-Work directly with senior leadership regarding audit issues and to gain an increased understanding of organizational processes.
-Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
-Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

05 You bring: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience (eight years.) Work experience to include some of all of the following; implementation/assessment of business processes, project coordination, research and analysis; 5 years. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Professional certifications in audit or related field, desired.
