As a Christ-centered organization, HOPE International seeks to bear witness to Christ and His Kingdom through who we are, how we work, and how we serve the church. The spiritual integration team at HOPE is responsible for providing strategic direction, guidance, and coordination of HOPE’s efforts to integrate an intentional witness into every aspect of our culture and work. The Spiritual Integration Savings Group Advisor is responsible to support and invest in SI-related activities and methodologies within Savings Group programs. The SI SG Advisor will invest in the Christ-centered and discipleship culture of HOPE, provide strategy and implementation support for HOPE’s current spiritual integration (SI) efforts, and assistance in improving all aspects of SI at HOPE.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International.
Spiritual Integration Strategy and Implementation within Saving Group Programs
Support a portfolio of field programs, consulting with them on the design, development, and implementation of effective spiritual integration strategies, principles, and practices that are consistent with HOPE International’s network standards and appropriate for their respective contexts.
Assist in the ongoing design and refinement of network-wide SI models and frameworks.
Consult with field programs to support vibrant staff spiritual formation efforts which include regular times of staff prayer, devotions, retreats, and the Faith in Practice initiative.
Work with field leaders and the operations team to ensure holistic annual planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
Consult with the savings group team to ensure spiritual impact strategies are integrated into savings group methodologies, products, and services.
Participate in savings group ongoing team rhythms and projects as needed to build relationships, keep up to date on SG priorities, and support holistic design & strategy.
Spiritual Formation, Discipleship, and coaching
Support regional leadership in a pastoral role.
Offer mentorship and guidance to regional SI Global team members.
Nurture the organization’s culture of Christ-centeredness by modeling discipleship and investing in intentional personal discipleship with members of the team, as the Holy Spirit leads.
Offer informal listening, staff care, counseling, and prayer to the global SI staff as needed.
General Network Support
Engage in various events such as meeting, retreats, and workshop sessions hosted by the Spiritual Integration and Integrated Strategy department to learn from other peer disciplines, stay updated and identify areas of overlap for a potential further collaboration.
Assist in sharing best practices across the network.
Manage other specific projects as assigned by the Director of Spiritual Integration.
Travel as needed (up to 75 nights per year) to the countries where HOPE operates.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
Experience working with Savings Group programs, familiarity with HOPE model preferable
Experience and passion for spiritual formation and disciple-making
Understanding of and experience in Christ-centered international development and missions
Evident love for people and desire to be relational while accomplishing tasks
Demonstrated servant leadership
Experience forming church partnerships preferred
Highly developed implementation skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience as a trainer preferred
Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and prioritization of competing demands/multiple deadlines
Ability to conduct high-level research and think strategically
Ability to handle fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Ability to connect confidently with a variety of stakeholders
Ability and experience in effective cross-cultural communication and collaboration
Foreign language skills preferred
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in biblical studies, economics, business, or related field
