EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Location: This is a hybrid position for individuals located in the greater San Diego area. Specific in-office requirements are dependent on organizational rhythms, but generally the successful candidate will be asked to be in the office one day per week and more often around our annual gala. Additionally, occasional evening meetings (1 per month) and weekends (1-2 per year) will also be expected.

Pay Range (national): $19.71 - 26.92 per hour USD.

Final offer will be adjusted based on market rate criteria of your specific years experience, skillset qualifications, and geographic location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

Ensure on time delivery and efficacy of church engagement and marketing projects and routines. These projects include donor reports, departmental procedures, email newsletters, online profiles, events, etc..

Marketing Technology Administrator

Learn and become an expert at the administration of our various marketing technology tools including Salesforce, Hive, MailChimp, Fundraise Up, ResourceSpace, and Zapier.

  • Be familiar with other marketing technology including Wordpress, Klipfolio, Google Analytics 4, and Loomly.
  • General department administration as required

Administrator – “ Earthkeepers Hub”

The Earthkeepers hub is a free, online library of tools and resources for every aspect of church ministry - theological insights, sermons, devotionals, small group resources, videos, childrens and youth curriculum, and more.

  • Aggregate new content
  • Manage and maintain existing content
  • Monitor and improve operations
     

Marketing Team Contributor/Implementer

  • Participate with the marketing team to execute various initiatives including campaigns, events, and asset production
  • Support volunteer activities as needed
  • Provide administrative support to the Marketing team and organization as needed
  • Become increasingly expert in the work of Plant with Purpose and the subjects germane to that work including global development, deforestation, climate change, regenerative agriculture, etc.


Marketing Analytics (Church Engagement)

  • Collect and track data for key metrics around church engagement
  • Contribute to the marketing dashboard to clearly display key metrics and how they contribute to the larger organization goals and communicate to key stakeholders
  • Analyze data and monitor trends to provide recommendations to improve performance of church engagement  initiative

 

WHAT WE'LL LOVE ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s in marketing or related field, or equivalent years experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in related field
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills: Completes tasks in a timely manner; follow-up with others diligently, boldly as necessary
  • You are a genuine team player: Able to give and take under pressure, supports other team members’ welfare and success. Takes on extra tasks as needed for team success
  • You have a thirst for growth and are rarely satisfied with the way things have always been done. You have a questioning mind and a desire to innovate, take risks, test, and follow up. You are also a process-oriented thinker.
  • You are highly conversant with the systems for managing and moving data between spreadsheets and cloud-based software 
  • Knowledge of Christian Churches, faith-based nonprofits, and Christian theology.
  • You have consistently been acknowledged  for your high level of attention to details when dealing with projects, data, and administration
  • You thrive in an environment based on routine, that is supplemented with larger one-time projects and team collaboration
  • You are fluent in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Google Suite products (GDrive, GDocs, GSheets). Familiarity with MacOS/Hardware, Adobe CS, CRM products (Bloomerang), project management/collaboration platforms (Hive), email marketing (MailChimp) and social schedulers (Loomly) are desirable. Must be tech savvy and not afraid to dive in to master new platforms.
  • Previous marketing agency or corporate departmental experience is a plus.
  • You approach team-based work as a servant leader and love being part of the collective success of the team and the organization.
